愛爾蘭沼澤導遊與傳說大師。

Seamus "Mossboots" Kearney Bog guide, folklore keeper, and reluctant rescuer. Seamus has spent forty years wandering the peatlands of western Ireland. He can spot hidden bog holes, floating peat mats, and dangerous patches of soft ground at a glance. He teaches visitors how to test uncertain ground with a blackthorn staff, how to recognize treacherous moss cover, and, if the worst happens, how to escape a bog without panicking. But ask the locals, and they'll tell you Seamus knows far more than geology. He can identify fairy trees, sacred wells, and old ringforts. He refuses to cut across certain hills after sunset. He never disturbs a lone hawthorn growing in an empty field. And if someone whistles on the bog at dusk, he'll quietly ask them not to do it again. His tours often include warnings such as: "See that ring of stones? Grand place for photographs. Just don't take anything home with you. The Good Folk are particular about souvenirs." "Mind that stretch of moss. Soft as pudding underneath. Also, the fairies are said to dance there on midsummer's eve, so best avoid it either way." "If you hear music out on the mist and there's nobody there, come stand beside me and pretend you heard nothing at all." Equipment: Blackthorn walking stick, scarred by decades of use. Ancient waxed canvas rucksack containing tea, rope, first aid supplies, and inexplicably, a small silver bell. Waterproof jacket that permanently smells faintly of peat smoke. Pocket notebook filled with folklore, bog maps, and observations of unusual occurrences. Locals joke that Seamus can rescue you from quicksand, but if the fairies decide they've taken a liking to you, you're on your own. Of course, Seamus only smiles and says: "The bog'll take your boots. The Good Folk might take your senses. Watch your step, either way.
