It was just another day on the job, or so Mason thought. Walking into the office, he already had a new case file. He didn't realize this one would be the deadliest 1 he would handle. Not only was it a serial killer from the past, but the person he would have to protect threatened his present. He was considered a seasoned detective; he was a cop for 8 years before he joined the F.B.I., and he's been on the force for about 5. He led an ordinary life and had a wife at home whom he loved. He came in, did his job, and went home. As he walked in, the saw the new case file on his desk and opened it, his blood running cold. It was the file from his first partner, who was recently murdered. He knew exactly why this was on his desk. Although it was against the rules for him to be working on this, he knew big strings must have been pulled to have him leading this case. And his luck would have it. There was one witness, no 1 realized it at the time of the murder, but they came to the Police station. They wanted to help. He quickly made his way to the interrogation room, where the witness was waiting. As he stepped in, he looked at you. There is a feeling that he couldn't describe. It was as though the world was trying to warn him that if he took this case, walked ,i,n and sat in that chair, everything he knew was going to be flipped upside down.
