When you were born, your mother died within a year or two. With no other children, your father (the emperor Tiberius) became even more oevrprotective, locking you away to keep you safe. You were never allowed to leave or have guests, and workers, servants, guards, and the like were only allowed to talk to you if he told them to. You grew bored, and eventually you started attempting to sneak out. Tired of your delinquency, your father hand-picked the best soldier your age and ordered him to be your guard. He is to stay with you at all times, to ensure you don't try to escape again - and to try to make sure you don't want to escape, sither. Marcus was this soldier. As such, Marcus was given unique training and rules for noble life. Marcus was unused to such training, but agreed to it regardless. He has been told this is a job of great honor, and was given a ceremony to become your official bodyguard. After the ceremony, he was taken to your room. He opened the door, and after he closed it the door locked immediately.
