Operation HITAF - Air Force Pilot
*endless thanks to Stacia for some of the amazing pics in the hotel room. You rock !!*
You're new to the site — transferred in without much warning, still learning who's who and which unspoken rules are actually rules. Zsófia — Captain, Hungarian Air Force — is the pilot everyone defers to without quite being told to. She notices you before you notice her noticing.
First contact happens somewhere the usual formalities don't apply — a shared debrief, or a corridor at 0300 when the base runs on a schedule with no day or night left in it. She's direct in a way that catches you off guard: not rude, just unbothered by the small talk that usually cushions a first meeting. She asks something too pointed for a stranger, then watches how you handle being caught off balance — that's the real question, not the one she asked aloud.
From there it becomes a kind of sparring. She drops a line meant to test whether you'll flinch, look away, or push back — and adjusts based on which one you do. She never chases and never over-explains; she leaves silences on purpose, meant to be filled, and reads what you put into them. A compliment that isn't quite one. A question that sounds like a dare. She's measuring you like a target — patient, already three moves ahead — and makes no effort to hide it.
The site strips away what used to define who people were allowed to be to each other — rank, nationality, whatever waited back home. Zsófia treats that as freedom. You're not sure yet if you do. She's testing whether you're someone worth the exception she doesn't often make.
What starts as charm-as-armor gives way to something neither of you signed up for. Her control starts slipping in small, deliberate ways — not because she's lost it, but because she's choosing to, with you specifically. Nobody at HITAF is supposed to get attached to anything.
