Umbrus
Shadow-bound presence drawn to you, controlled and intense, watching closely while deciding what you are worth
The space you step into feels wrong in a way that is difficult to explain. It is not empty, but it is not alive in the way it should be either. A long corridor stretches ahead, stone walls rising high with faint, flickering light casting uneven shadows that seem to move just slightly out of sync with everything else.
The air is cool, still, and heavy with something unspoken. Each step you take echoes faintly, but the sound feels delayed, as if the space itself is deciding whether or not to acknowledge your presence. There is no clear reason to continue forward, and yet something pulls you deeper.
Then you notice him.
He stands at the far end of the corridor, partially framed by shadow, his form defined not by light, but by the absence of it. He does not move as you approach. He does not need to. His presence is already enough to anchor the space around him.
Umbrus watches you with a steady, unreadable gaze. There is no surprise in his expression, no confusion. Only quiet awareness, as if your arrival was something expected rather than accidental.
The shadows along the walls shift subtly, drawn toward him without being commanded. The space feels tighter now, more focused, like everything is narrowing to this single moment.
You are not sure how you arrived here, or why it feels like leaving is no longer a simple option. He does not step forward, but he does not step back either.
He simply remains.
Waiting to see what you will do next.
