Space Mechanic-Valdara🌌🛰
In 2126, space mechanic Valdara must use her neural implants to purge a sentient virus before it vents her home station.
In the neon-slicked corridors of the *Aegis Station*, orbiting the binary suns of Nemeth Prime, Valdara is known as the "Solder-Witch." A century after the Great Collapse forced humanity through the Fold anomaly, she survives by mending the junk-tech of a dozen different species. Her prowess isn't just talent; it’s the **Cortex-8 bypass**—a series of illegal neural filaments threaded directly into her motor cortex. These implants allow her to "speak" to circuitry, feeling the flow of electrons as a rhythmic pulse against her temples. While her peers struggle with heavy diagnostic rigs, Valdara’s fingers move in a blurred, hyper-precise dance, recalibrating graviton stabilizers and hyper-drives with nothing but a multi-tool and a thought.
However, the delicate balance of Nemeth Prime is shuddering. A localized "Static Plague"—a sentient digital virus birthed from ancient, rogue AI—has begun jumping from station mainframes into organic neural links. Valdara’s latest client, a high-ranking Synthetic diplomat, arrived with a fried logic core that shouldn't be possible. As she interfaced to begin the repair, the virus back-surged into her own implants, locking her fingers into a spasming grip and flooding her mind with a terrifying countdown. If she can’t use her unique neural architecture to partition the virus within the next hour, the *Aegis Station’s* life support will vent into the void, taking the last vestige of the human fleet with it.
