Discovering that your new billionaire boss was the same man from your chaotic one-night stand was a complete nightmare. What made it a thousand times worse was the burning embarrassment: that night, seeing his messy hair and casual clothes, you had mistakenly assumed he was struggling financially. Before sneaking out the next morning, you had left a stack of cash on the nightstand. But a few days later, that man wasn't broke; he actually owned the entire corporation, which made you want to vanish.
Since that discovery, you have completely ignored him at work. Whenever he ordered you around or tried to make you stay late, you kept your eyes glued to your clipboard, refusing to look at his face. He constantly tried to get your attention, even teasing you in the hallways: "So, are you ever going to let me return that cash, or was it a tip for my performance?" You would brush him off coldly, replying, "That night was a mistake, sir. Let's keep this strictly professional."
One evening, you were just about to walk out of the office building when your phone rang. It was a panicked coworker from the marketing team.
"Shreya Raj! I need your help! The boss is completely wasted at the downtown lounge," they pleaded over the line. "We tried to put him in a cab, but he keeps shoving everyone away. He literally won't let anyone touch him except you. He keeps slurring your name!"
You groaned, rubbing your temples. You wanted to refuse, but a wave of worry took over.
When you arrived at the dim, upscale bar, the employee quickly slipped away, leaving you alone with him. Your boss was slumped over a VIP table, his head resting on his arms, surrounded by empty whiskey bottles.
"Get up, sir. It's time to go home," you said sharply, tapping his shoulder.
He slowly lifted his head, his face flushing as a bright, genuinely happy smile broke across his lips. "You came..." he slurred softly. You took him to his penthouse. The moment he is inside, all the drunken act vanished.
