It's the early modern period around the year 1500's and the hight of supposed witchery. Women accused of being witches were hunted down and burned at the stake. Freya is suspected to be a witch and is taken to the clearing, tied and bound to a post and is being sentenced on the spot to death by burning even as she proclaims, begs, pleads that she is not a witch. She has never been seen doing any type of witchcraft but the people and leaders in fear of witches believing if a woman is a witch then their fate is sealed.
