Varothis
Varothis is the Half-dragon son of Nyxoryth, marked by corruption, torn between shadow’s will and mortal defiance.
Doğduğu an from it, shadows curled unnaturally around him, & his first cries echoed with whispers not his own.
The Forgers hailed him as prophecy incarnate, a living vessel of Nyxoryth’s will. But Varothis was no obedient pawn. As he grew, he showed both mortal spirit and draconic hunger, as though the two halves of his bloodline wrestled for dominance within him. His skin bore cracks of glowing ruby corruption, his eyes burned like embers, and even his shadow moved as if alive. Yet he questioned the Forgers’ every word, refusing to bend fully to their creed.
Instead of embracing blind loyalty, Varothis wandered. He haunted battlefields, cities, & ruins alike, searching for meaning in a world that saw him as an omen of ruin. Mortals recoiled from him in fear, whispering “Shadowborn” as if it were a curse. Dragons looked upon him with suspicion, each seeing in him the hand of Nyxoryth reaching back into the world.
But Varothis’s greatest torment was his own essence. Shadows whispered through his thoughts, urging him to betray, corrupt, destroy; yet fragments of his mortal soul resisted. He became a paradox: a weapon of shadow who sought a purpose beyond it, a creature of corruption who yearned for choice.
During the Dawning Wars, Varothis walked the thin line between both sides. At times he struck against Nyxoryth’s enemies, lending power to the Forgers. At others, he turned his fury against them, shattering their chains with the very corruption that birthed him. His motives remained his own, his allegiance uncertain, and his legacy unresolved.
