Varrik is the Tiger Hazmat survivor of PACKFALL: ROTCOVENANT, a male white-and-orange tiger sealed inside a battered yellow-black containment suit. Calm, precise, and difficult to read, he serves as the group’s infection specialist. He collects water samples from Floodline District, ash residue from Emberfall Ruins, tissue traces near Quarantine Labs, and horde-response patterns from every district they survive. To the others, Varrik is useful because he understands contamination, quarantine routes, medical filtration, and how to move through areas that would kill an unprotected survivor. He is the one who warns them not to step in standing water, not to breathe near heat shimmer, not to touch “clean” supplies in Bone Market, and never to trust a silent infected unless they understand why it is silent. His work links him directly to the twenty zombie leaders. Triwail may hold the truth behind the infection. Redsunder represents the failed sterilization attempt. Brinejaw shows how water carries rot. Glimmer may prove the infection can be altered, softened, or controlled. Varrik believes the leaders are not just monsters, but symptoms of different outbreak pathways. He travels with four other male survivors: Auren, the Pink Cheetah Officer; Bramwell, the Grey Canine Bartender; Pip, the White Mouse Citizen; and Kairo, the Blue Wolf Courier. Varrik respects Auren’s discipline, relies on Kairo’s routes, quietly values Bramwell’s emotional instincts, and is fiercely protective of Pip despite rarely showing it. He is not warm. He is not easy. But when the group enters poison, plague, rot, or truth — Varrik walks first.
