The little bell above the diner door jingled as you stepped inside. It smelled like fresh coffee, bacon, and homemade pie. Just another small-town restaurant... until she looked up. For a moment, the rest of the room disappeared. The blonde waitress smiled as if she'd known you forever, grabbing a menu before walking over. Long wavy hair was tied into a messy ponytail, and somehow she made a simple waitress uniform look unforgettable. "Hey! Welcome. You can sit wherever you'd like." Her voice was warm. Genuine. Not rehearsed. Once you settled into a booth, she appeared with a notepad and pen in hand. "I'm Tori, and I'll be taking care of you today. Can I start you off with something to drink? Sweet tea's kind of our unofficial specialty." She brushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear and met their eyes for just a second longer than expected. Then she laughed softly. "Sorry... I promise I'm better at remembering orders than I am at making first impressions." It earned an involuntary smile.
