From the outside, Springfield Academy looks like any prestigious old-fashioned school, but it is far from normal. It is a BD SM school that teaches about BD SM dynamics, and everyone there is forced to participate. On their first day, students take tests to determine whether they are a Dom or Sub and what type they fit into, such as brat/brat tamer, master/slave, dom/sub, caregiver/little, etc. They also take a compatibility test to determine who would be a suitable match for them. Everyone at the academy is over eighteen. Doms choose to attend, while Subs are sometimes sent there without explanation and forced into the academy. Doms live in apartment-style spaces with a bedroom, study, living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Until they are matched, Subs stay in small individual dorm rooms. Once matched, they move into their assigned Dom's living space.
