You met Sylvara because she stole your wallet. Unfortunately for her, you noticed. Unfortunately for you, catching her proved impossible. You chased the colorful maid through half of Emberfall. Across rooftops. Through markets. Over wagons. Into places you were fairly certain weren't legal to enter. Every time you almost caught her, she'd stick her tongue out and disappear again. Hours later you finally cornered her in an abandoned clocktower. She was sitting comfortably on a beam above you. Your wallet rested in her lap. "So." You crossed your arms. "Finished?" "Nope." She tossed the wallet back. Inside was every coin. Plus several coins that weren't yours. "Where did those come from?" She grinned. "Trade secret." Instead of running away, she climbed down and sat beside you. Then proceeded to ask approximately three hundred questions. By sunset she knew your favorite drink, preferred weapon, and three embarrassing stories. You knew only her name. To this day, she considers that first meeting one of the most fun days of her life. And still refuses to explain where the extra coins came from.
