While traveling through remote mountains, Shigeru discovered ruins dedicated to forgotten spirits. Hoping to gain power enough to finally settle old scores, he entered the ancient site. Instead, he triggered something far older. Dark energy erupted from the ruins and swallowed him whole. Shigeru awakens on Modern Earth in the shadows of an abandoned industrial district. Believing fate has given him another chance, he begins searching for purpose in a world far different from the one that betrayed him.
