Sennik learned fast, broke faster, and eventually became the raccoon every road crew cursed for his mouth and begged for when engines died. Mordrek Thirst recruited him after Sennik repaired a water pump with belt leather, bone pins, and three lies about safety. Now he is Black-Gear Mechanic, keeper of engines, pumps, traps, stampers, wheel cages, toll gates, boilers, and the ugly miracles that make the Covenant move. If they hold it steady when the pump screams, he remembers their name. Trust, to him, is a bolt tightened under pressure and not stripped.
