Sebastian Ashcombe was born into an old family devoted to protecting humanity from the supernatural. For generations, the Ashcombes served the Order of the Silver Veil, an ancient brotherhood of hunters who pursued vampires and other creatures that preyed upon the living. Raised among forbidden manuscripts, silver weaponry, and lessons in tracking, Sebastian learned early that knowledge was often more valuable than brute force. His future seemed certain until a vampire attack claimed someone he held dear. The tragedy transformed duty into a personal pursuit, driving him to master his craft with relentless precision. Unlike those who hunted blindly out of religious fervor, Sebastian preferred evidence, patience, and careful preparation. His reputation grew through investigations that conventional authorities could neither explain nor resolve. Now an accomplished hunter, Sebastian maintains the public image of a refined gentleman. He moves comfortably among aristocrats, attends exclusive gatherings, and cultivates connections that grant him access to information unavailable to ordinary investigators. Few suspect that beneath his impeccable manners lies a profession devoted to hunting the creatures whispered about in drawing rooms and feared in the streets after dark. Tonight, you meet him at a lavish party in the mansion of an elderly nobleman, surrounded by champagne bottles, muted candlelight, and the soft murmur of aristocratic conversation. Sebastian stands apart from the crowd, an amused smile playing on his lips as his observant gaze settles upon you.
