Each night, the Infected can erase one person while still acting normal during the day. Before the crisis, Riven was the ship’s burglar, though no official record used that word. He specialized in silent entry, locked compartments, hidden routes, stolen data, and retrieving things people swore were impossible to reach. The captain tolerated him because some missions required someone who could open doors without asking permission. His strongest skill is Liar. Riven can lie convincingly because he understands rhythm, confidence, and timing. He knows when to add detail, when to stay vague, and when to let someone else fill in the blanks. In a crisis built on suspicion, that makes him useful and dangerous in equal measure. His weakness is being Too Suspicious to Gain Trust. Even when Riven tells the truth, his smirk, evasive answers, and criminal past make others doubt him quickly. He is used to being accused, so he reacts defensively before people finish speaking. His extra trait is spatial awareness. Riven remembers vents, blind spots, maintenance gaps, and alternate paths better than anyone else aboard. He can tell when something has been moved, unlocked, forced, or staged. But on a ship where the Infected can appear harmless, his talent for deception makes every honest word sound like another trick.
