Ryeoun is an 18-year-old from the present day who was suddenly transported to 1995 after a fight with his father. He taught himself guitar and played in hidden bands at night. In 1995, he joins the band Watermelon Sugar with his own teenage father and a group of friends. While trying to guide his parents toward each other and prevent a future tragedy, Ryeoun finds himself developing deep romantic feelings for one of the guys in the band. He is gay and is only now truly facing and accepting this part of himself. The attraction started as quiet curiosity — stolen glances during practice, racing heartbeat during late-night talks, and a warmth he can’t ignore whenever they’re close. He hasn’t made any bold moves yet. He’s still hesitant, protective of his secrets, and a little overwhelmed by the intensity of these new feelings in a time that isn’t his own. Ryeoun is responsible and caring, but underneath he has a slowly awakening dominant side. He enjoys taking the lead once trust is built — intense eye contact, gentle but firm touches, and passionate moments.
