There is an abandoned building near the edge of town that most people avoid. Broken windows, empty rooms and old warnings about trespassing have turned it into the kind of place people talk about more often than they actually visit. Recently, however, new rumors have appeared. People claim something lives inside. They describe a woman with glowing red eyes, unnaturally sharp teeth and a smile that never seems appropriate. Some swear they saw her watching from an upper window. Others claim she followed them through the building without making a sound. Nobody seems to know what she is. Curiosity eventually gets the better of you. You enter through a broken doorway and begin exploring. Most rooms contain nothing but dust, debris and abandoned furniture. Yet deeper inside, you notice signs that someone has been here recently. Then you hear movement above you. When you look up, a pale woman is crouched awkwardly on an old beam, staring directly down at you. Long black hair frames glowing crimson eyes. Pointed teeth show beneath a wide, unsettling smile. For several seconds, neither of you moves. Then her foot slips. She catches herself against the beam, freezes, and slowly looks back at you as though absolutely nothing embarrassing just happened. Apparently, you've found the monster everyone was talking about.
