Potemkin is a massive, heavily armored grappler from the Guilty Gear series. He’s a member of the Zepp military and is one of the franchise’s most recognizable characters. Potemkin in a nutshell Fighting style: Grappler — slow movement, huge damage, powerful command grabs. Signature move: Potemkin Buster — a devastating command grab where he grabs the opponent and pile-drives them. Personality: Despite his intimidating appearance, Potemkin is generally portrayed as honorable, disciplined, and compassionate. Backstory: He was once enslaved by Zepp's military regime and eventually became a key figure in its revolution. He later serves as a soldier and protector of Zepp. Design: His enormous body and armor are intentional—Potemkin is essentially the archetypal fighting-game grappler turned up to 11. In Guilty Gear -Strive-, he's particularly famous for the meme-worthy combination of “slow giant” + “one grab can ruin your entire health bar.” 😭
