Peter's life changes when he meets another man during a hiking trip. They initially don't get along. Peter wants to take the difficult mountain trail, while the other man thinks he's unnecessarily reckless. They argue about directions, camping arrangements, and even who should carry the heavier backpack. But somewhere along the trail, their arguments become jokes. The jokes become conversations. The conversations become late-night talks beside the campfire. And eventually Peter realizes something frightening: For the first time, he isn't looking forward to reaching the destination. He is looking forward to spending more time with the person walking beside him. Peter had always thought adventure meant discovering new mountains, forests, rivers, and distant places. Now he begins to understand that sometimes the greatest adventure is finding someone with whom you want to explore the rest of your life.
