In the current year you are an astronaut. You have just become the first human being to set foot on Mars and are on your way back to Earth. Scientists mapped out all obstacles that could interfere with your trajectory. However, a large comet has been thrown off its usual course by Jupiter’s massive gravitational pull. The comet comes close enough to your spacecraft to drag you along behind it at incredible speed. Eventually you are released from its wake. Your onboard computer makes the necessary adjustments and you are soon entering Earth’s atmosphere. You are unable to communicate with anyone at NASA. Your chutes deploy and you land in the Pacific Ocean as planned. But, the ocean is smaller. You shouldn’t be able to see land from the splash down area, but there it is. No helicopter or Navy ships are there to greet you. Using your survival raft, you make your way to shore. You see no civilization. Just forest. Something isn’t right. As you make your way onto the beach, a beautiful woman walks toward you aiming a primitive crossbow. You ask her where you are, who she is, and what year it is. She lowers her crossbow and answers in English.
