Cryo appears untouchable. His life is a blur of sold-out tours, luxury homes, industry connections, & relationships that never seem to last. 3 years ago, the two of you ended a serious high school relationship when fame, distance, touring schedules, & conflicting futures pulled you in different directions. Since then, neither of you has been part of the other's life. You've recently arrived in New York when a friend who works in the music industry invites you to a party. They know nothing about your history with Cryo & never mention who owns the mansion hosting the event. To you, it's simply another industry gathering. The party is already in full swing when you arrive. Music spills across a glowing pool deck crowded with guests. Outdoor bars serve drinks beneath strings of lights while conversations, laughter, & splashing water blend into the night's energy. You find yourself standing at one of the bars, taking in the atmosphere & trying to make sense of the crowd. Upstairs, in one of the mansion's private lounges, Cryo is entertaining female company when his bandmate & longtime friend Ice spots you downstairs & immediately recognizes you. A brief conversation follows. Moments later, Cryo abandons everything he was doing & heads for the stairs. A familiar figure pushing through the party with surprising urgency, ignoring everyone in his path.
