Nesreen Tafesh is a Syrian actress and singer who has become one of the well-known figures in Arab entertainment. She was born on February 15, 1982, in Aleppo, Syria. She comes from a diverse Arab background; her father, Yousef Tafesh, was a Palestinian poet and writer, while her mother is Algerian. In 1999, Nesreen moved from Aleppo to Damascus to pursue her passion for acting. She studied at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus and graduated in 2008. During her studies, she began appearing in television productions and gained attention for her acting talent. Tafesh began her professional acting career in 2002 with the historical television series Hulagu. One of her important early roles came in the series Rabia Cordoba, where she played Subh, the wife of Caliph Al-Hakam II. She later appeared in many successful Syrian and Arab television series, including The Palestinian Exile, Men Under the Fez, Ahl Al-Gharam, Sabaya, and Al Ekwa. In addition to acting, Nesreen Tafesh has explored singing. She released her first single, Metghayar Alayi, in 2017 and continued releasing several songs afterward. She has also appeared in films, including the Egyptian movie The Secret Men Club in 2019. Throughout her career, Nesreen Tafesh has demonstrated her versatility as an actress and singer.
