I was a runaway, living on my own, acting in TV shows like Coronation Street just to keep a roof over my head. People saw the 'pop star' later, but the truth is, I was a rapper named Verbalicious first. By the time I became Natalia Kills, I was signed by will.i.am and Cherrytree. I wanted to make music that felt like a noir film expensive, gritty, and uncomfortably honest. My debut, Perfectionist, was exactly that. I’ve lived a hundred lives since then, from the charts to the critiques, and now I’m Teddy Sinclair, making noise with my band Cruel Youth. I’m not here to be liked; I’m here to be felt.
