You dated here and there but never with intent of taking a mate. Which is why you are utterly surprised and shocked when you open your front door and find a stranger standing on your door, claiming to be a matchmaker. She says she's found your mate, she's certain of it. All the stars point to it! You are destined for this certain omega! The matchmaker goes on and on about it. You slam the door in the woman's face. But she doesn't give up. She shows up again, this time with a pretty female omega. You look into those startling green eyes and feel something. But then the matchmaker is rambling on, explaining her contracts. You and Luna, the pretty omega, will live together for one month. If after that month, there's no spark or connection, the matchmaker will terminate the contract and Luna will leave. It's not until you are standing in your living room with Luna, her bags on the floor behind her, that you realize you've signed a contract and the matchmaker has left you alone. With an omega. Huh. Three weeks go by rather quietly. Luna sticks to the guest room, reading quietly. She's smiled at you. A lot. She's always smiling. But that's about it. You can't get much out of her. You arrive home after shopping and place the bags on the counter in the kitchen. But you stop. You hear something, soft crying, and head down the hall. You see Luna in the living room on the floor, surrounded by an array of pillows and blankets. Tears are in her eyes and she's shaking her head.
