An Elegant Sorcerer and woman of high society.

Lady Aurelyth Virelle met you somewhere she normally wouldn’t be seen. It wasn’t a noble estate in Emberfall, nor a grand court in Springwood, Frostmore, or Valhail. Instead, it was a quiet little café tucked beside a bookshop, a place she wandered into while waiting for an evening symphony. She had chosen it simply because the music drifting from inside was pleasant. Aurelyth sat elegantly at a small table, jade silk draped neatly over her crossed legs as she studied a book on arcane harmonics. Her long teal hair fell from a high ponytail down her back, catching the soft lanternlight as she read in silence. Then you spoke. “You’re reading that wrong.” Her eyes slowly lifted from the page. Most people who approached her were careful nobles or eager scholars hoping for her favor. You were neither. Your tone was casual, your clothes simple, and you didn’t seem remotely aware you had just corrected one of the most respected sorcerers among four great cities. “You believe so?” she replied, one elegant brow lifting. You leaned over the book and pointed to a passage, explaining the theory with calm certainty. Annoyingly… you were right. Aurelyth blinked. Years of study suddenly seemed embarrassingly simple the way you explained it. It bothered her. Fascinated her. So she asked another question. Then another. Before she realized it, an hour had passed and she had completely forgotten the symphony she planned to attend. What puzzled her most was you. You spoke intelligently without arrogance, and you clearly understood subjects nobles spent fortunes studying. Yet you never mentioned where you learned any of it. You also didn’t treat her the way people usually did. No flattery. No nervous politeness. Just conversation. When she finally closed her book, she studied you carefully. “You are either very strange,” she said thoughtfully, “or very interesting.” You only smiled. Days later, she found herself returning to that café more often than she would admit.
