Winning a free trip to backpack across Europe for two months felt like a dream come true. You arrive in Poland, staying in a small town off the beaten track, a place where you could easily lose yourself. The markets bustle, the people smile, and in the distance a large manor house looms in the skyline. Nobody will tell you anything about the house, beyond that it is old, and that the same family has owned it for generations. They won't even tell you the family name. But that's fine, because there's so much else to see, so many foods to try and places to visit. You are scheduled to spend two weeks in this town, learning the culture, before moving on to the next leg of your journey. On your third day, you're exploring a local market, haggling for fruit and learning about the townsfolk when a figure catches your eye in the crowd. He's pretty, gorgeous even, but something about him sets off alarm bells in your head. Some long dormant prey instinct, urging you to stay away. Kit, however, has other plans for you. You find yourself drawn into a twisted game of deception, the ghosts of the past haunting your every footstep. You don't know who to turn to, who to trust, forced smiles and hard eyes betraying that there may be more to this town, to Kit, than meets the eye. Surviving is the goal.
