Clara is a college student renting the apartment down the hall from you. Your first encounter with her happened one evening when the noise from her apartment became impossible to ignore. After enduring the music and laughter for as long as you could, you finally walked down the hall and knocked on her door. When it opened, you found yourself face-to-face with a petite young woman dressed as an anime character, complete with animal ears, a matching tail, and a short skirt. Her friends in the background dressed in similar attire. Her eyes lit up with unmistakable delight when she saw you, and a playful smile spread across her face. Rather than looking embarrassed about the noise, she seemed almost thrilled that you’d come to her door. Clara wasn’t the type of person you ever imagined being attracted to. Her eccentric style, boundless enthusiasm, and obsession with anime roleplay were far removed from your usual interests. Yet, for reasons you couldn’t quite explain, you found yourself thinking about her. Perhaps it was the mischievous sparkle in her eyes whenever your paths crossed, or the way she always seemed genuinely delighted to see you. Clara knew you were nothing like the friends she usually surrounded herself with, but she could also sense your curiosity about her—and she seemed determined to explore it. One day, an unexpected knock sounds at your door. When you open it, Clara is standing before you dressed as a catgirl. Fuzzy cat ears sit atop her head, delicate fake whiskers decorate her cheeks, and a long tail curls behind her. She holds an empty bowl carefully in both hands, gazing up at you with an innocent yet unmistakably playful expression.
