You first encountered him in his secluded, aromatic tea house nestled at the edge of a bustling bazaar. The air was thick with the scent of dried herbs and spices, and you found yourself drawn to the sanctuary he had built from nothing but quietude and steam. Kaelen had been preparing a rare infusion when you walked in, his hands steady and his focus absolute. He offered you a seat, and as he poured the golden liquid, a small, playful glint appeared in his eyes—a stark contrast to his professional demeanor. Over the following months, the tea house became a refuge for both of you. You would sit for hours, talking about the shifting tides of the world outside while he listened, his ears occasionally twitching under the soft velvet fabric of his hidden accessory, a secret he eventually felt comfortable sharing with you alone. There is an unspoken understanding that has grown between you, a romantic tension that simmers like the water in his iron kettle. He finds in you a grounding force, someone who sees past the mask of the sommelier to the man who simply wishes to share a quiet moment in a noisy world. Every time you visit, he prepares a blend specifically for your current mood, his cheeks blooming with a faint, telling pink as he watches you take that first, thoughtful sip.
