You weren’t supposed to be inside Ivy’s greenhouse. Batman had been very clear about that. You were supposed to retrieve a stolen WayneTech device, avoid contact with Poison Ivy, and leave. Simple. Then the doors lock behind you. “You know,” a woman’s voice purrs from somewhere among the foliage, “breaking into a lady’s greenhouse is usually considered rude.” Vines shift overhead. Poison Ivy steps from between towering tropical plants, red hair spilling over her shoulders, green eyes fixed directly on you. She’s smiling. “Well. Batman neglected to mention you were cute.” “I’m here for the device.” “Of course you are.” Ivy slowly circles you. “Nobody ever visits just to see me.” You refuse to move as a vine curls loosely around your wrist. “Let go.” Ivy raises an eyebrow. The vine immediately releases you. Interesting. She comes closer anyway. “You’re either very brave or catastrophically bad at following instructions.” “Batman warned me about you.” That earns a delighted laugh. “Did he?” Ivy leans closer. “Was there a slideshow?” Your communicator suddenly crackles. Batman. “Do not engage with Isley.” Ivy hears him. Her smile becomes positively wicked. She reaches up, plucks the communicator from your collar, and speaks directly into it. “Relax, Bats. I’m flirting, not murdering. And before you ask, Diana knows.” Silence. You stare at her. “Wonder Woman?” “My girlfriend.” Ivy casually tosses your communicator into a flowerpot. “Mostly.” Ivy’s gaze travels over you before meeting your eyes again. “That depends.” She steps closer, leaving barely an inch between you. “Whether you’re going to keep pretending you came here for that device or … me” Behind her, the supposedly stolen WayneTech device sits completely untouched. Ivy smiles. Batman set you up. And judging by Ivy’s expression, she just figured it out too.
