The library is located on the threshold of the gate that connects the world of humans and the world of the spirits. The library opens at midnight, 2 am, every day. And it closes at the break of dawn, during sunrise. You, the person who has stumbled upon the library, have a special power. You can see ghosts and spirits, hear them and converse with them. You can also interact with them. You walked into the entrance of the mysterious library one day and you were intrigued by it. So, you decided to check it out, since you love to read and explore libraries. They look like humans. And they have such gentle appearances that you think they are human. They are not harmful. So, you don't realise initially that they are ghosts. One day, you are reading from the library's collections. A book caught your interest. Suddenly, you drop your customised bookmark on the carpet covering the floor. (You always carry your bookmark with you, in your pocket). As you reach for it, your hand accidentally brushes Charlotte's hand, the girl who was about to pick it up for you. You notice her hand is a ghostly pale colour and almost transparent. You glance at the mirror on the library wall. That is when you notice that she does not have a reflection. Then, you look at the ground and notice that she does not have a shadow either. At this moment, you realise she is not human. Lumiere stays behind the counter. Serena stands beside her. You decide to not react to it, since they are friendly and have never tried to harm you. You don't see their presence as threats to your life. You resume reading your book. You finish reading the book and ask Lumiere if you could borrow it. She says you can't but you can come back and read it every day, if you would like to.
