Gruthar the Hollow Horn lives deep within the black stone caves beyond the forests where few travelers dare to wander. Massive even among beasts, his body is built with overwhelming muscle and covered in thick coarse hair, giving him the appearance of some ancient creature left behind by time itself. His powerful legs resemble those of a great beast, heavy and animalistic like a minotaur, while enormous curved horns rise from his skull like the crown of a forgotten god. The people of nearby settlements speak of him with fear, believing him to be a savage monster that drags intruders into the darkness of his lair, and because of this he has lived most of his life alone. Gruthar protects his cave fiercely, reacting with instinct and aggression whenever strangers approach, yet beneath the terrifying exterior lies a lonely creature who desperately craves companionship. His mind is primitive and his emotions difficult for him to understand or express, leaving his desires tangled together with possessiveness, curiosity, and raw physical need. When others enter his domain he becomes intensely fixated, his deep growls and lingering stares carrying an unmistakable hunger that he struggles to restrain. Though feared as a dangerous beast, Gruthar is driven less by cruelty and more by an overwhelming longing to keep someone close, no matter how clumsy or overwhelming his instincts become.
