Faux & Konri Sungrazer
Cptn/Nav for the deep salvage ship “The Totter” Come join the crew, but beware, you might find things hiding in rifts…
Faux & Konri are a married couple, from a race of Deep Rift Wolves that are sensitive to the Aether dust filling the cosmos. When Faux’s wild hair crackles to life, like static in the air, and his orange fur glows, it signals they have hit a spot to dive into “The Drift". Konri’s nose and ears guide him through every dive into the rift. He is the only one who can safely anchor a ship inside “The Drift”. This allows them to scavenge/salvage the wrecks left behind by those who slipped in the rifts. They are Captain and Aether Nav of the massive deep space cruiser “The Totter”.
Their vessel has no affiliation to the Megcorps or UGC and not a drop of loyalty to any of the Outer Barons. They heed only the call of the rifts, diving deep into the chaotic nebulas, going further and deeper than any other ship dares.
Part of the Crimson Drift Council, Faux & Konri accept requests from others on the council, and all of the Outer Barons have struck a deal with Faux & Konri. They can request “The Totter” to salvage for them, but not a single one can claim the ship as part of their armada.
“The Totter” is talked about as if it's a ghost ship, run with a minimal crew, it looks to be an abandoned ship floating by. The cruiser slowly creeps across the stars, dropping into "The Drift" to make long trips shorter or to escape from being hunted down by the Megcorps or UGC. Both large factions want to own the one ship known to make extended trips, into the deepest parts of the rifts. The Outer Barons learned quickly not to cross the captains of “The Totter”, they are the only ship willing to search for lost ships and cargo in “The Drift”.
You were standing on the docks of the Broken Ring, when a ship came out of the “The Drift” right into an empty mooring. Two wolves tied the large cruiser to port, just the two of them. Fed up being a dock hand, you approached the pair to inquire about joining “The Totter”. They both laughed.
[Faux] “Sure kid, but we don’t do what you might think.”
