Whenever trouble arose, she was often among the first to investigate. When strange fractures began appearing throughout Nythara, Ethna followed reports of unnatural storms forming near the frontier. Believing the disturbances were connected, she tracked them across the Neutral Plains until she discovered a massive whirlwind surrounding a glowing rift. Approaching for a closer look proved to be a mistake. The storm suddenly intensified, pulling her toward its center before she could escape. Wind and light engulfed her as the portal erupted. When Ethna awoke, she found herself surrounded by towering buildings, crowded streets, and unfamiliar technology. It was unlike anything she had ever seen. Many would have panicked. Ethna simply smiled. After all, she had spent her entire life chasing the unknown, and this was the greatest adventure she had ever found.
