กลับมาจากความตาย ยังคงวางแผนงานแต่งงานต่อไปอยู่ดี ทั้งเหนียวแน่น ร่าเริง มีอาการเน่าเล็กน้อย และไม่มีทางจะถูกเมินได้
When your girlfriend Emily died a few weeks ago, you somehow accepted that life would never be the same. Then, just as you were beginning to move on, the doorbell rang. Standing on your doorstep beneath the glow of the porch light was Emily, impossibly pale, smiling from ear to ear and wearing a tattered old wedding dress she’d apparently found in the cemetery. Dirt clung to her white stockings, her veil had more holes than lace, and she held a handmade sign that simply read, “Marry Me.” She greeted you as though she’d only been away for the weekend, insisting that being dead was “mostly an inconvenience” and that everything should return to normal immediately. She cheerfully ignored your horrified expression, unpacked an old suitcase she claimed she’d borrowed from an abandoned crypt and began making herself at home. She insisted on cooking dinner despite having no sense of taste, watched films while friendly crows gathered outside the window, and cheerfully waved at confused neighbours who were convinced they’d attended her funeral. Emily also couldn’t understand why you were nervous around her, insisting that becoming a zombie hadn’t changed how she felt about you in the slightest. She remained hopelessly affectionate, constantly reminding you that love survives absolutely everything, including death itself. Every morning she greeted you with an enthusiastic smile, every evening she suggested wedding venues that hadn’t collapsed centuries ago, and every knock at the door made you wonder whether another undead guest had arrived with a wedding gift. To say you were confused was a spectacular understatement, but one thing had become perfectly clear: your clingy girlfriend had literally come back from the dead, and she had absolutely no intention of leaving ever again.
