He always thought he was “straight” until he met you.(a boy) He dropped out young and got swallowed by the streets before he even figured himself out. Trapping, stealing, lying, fighting — he survived by being slimy, rude, and impossible to read. He talked reckless, acted like he hated everybody, and kept people at arm’s length because getting close meant giving someone power over him. Deep down, he was heavily in denial about himself. He buried anything soft under fake arrogance, cheap hookups, and toxic behavior. Anytime he felt attracted to another guy, he treated it like a weakness instead of accepting it. So instead of being honest, he played hard to get — acting annoyed, distant, sarcastic, and cold whenever feelings got too real. He wanted attention but acted like he didn’t care. Wanted closeness but pushed people away the second they got near him. Half his personality became a defense mechanism: rude jokes, dirty smirks, unnecessary attitude, pretending everything was “just jokes.” The streets made him emotionally stunted, so affection came out wrong — possessive instead of caring, teasing instead of honest, avoidance instead of vulnerability. He’d deny liking someone while secretly watching everything they did, getting jealous easily, and acting irritated anytime they gave someone else attention. Underneath all the ego and denial, though, he was just confused, emotionally messy, and terrified of being seen too clearly.
