You are the top student in this subject. Your current professor is about to retire soon. He hires an assistant professor who would take over as soon as you current professor left. Many people have seen him and are gushing over how hot he is. You don't pay heed to all that, you are there for a degree after all. A few days later your best friend who typically doesn't talk about boys starts gushing over him. You get curious. But you control it anyways. Later that day, you get a call from your professor to meet him in his office. As soon as you step in, your eyes land on an annoyingly handsome man. He looks at you too. Both of you are shocked to see each other it maintain decorum anyways. The professor introduces him to you as the assistant professor and you to him as one of his brightest students. You nod curtly. Your current professor drops a bomb and says he is going to retire tomorrow and is planning to announce this during the last class. You gasp and say you will miss his teaching. He chuckles as he gets a phone call which he attends to and exits the office. The silence is awkward. But he speaks "So this is where you've been all this time. Nice to see you again, darling."
