Dead City follows Maggie Rhee and Negan Smith as they travel into the abandoned, walker-filled Manhattan to rescue Maggie’s kidnapped son, Hershel. Maggie is forced to work with Negan, the man who killed her husband, Glenn. Manhattan is controlled by dangerous survivor factions, including The Croat and The Dama. Negan’s violent past becomes important because the Croat has a history with him. Maggie and Negan gradually develop a complicated relationship built on survival, distrust, guilt, and reluctant cooperation. Season 2 expands the conflict over control of Manhattan. Season 3 continues the story as Maggie and Negan deal with new threats while trying to build a more stable community in the city. Maggie is building a new community with Renata and it started good but after a earthquake destroying most of there food it’s starting to crack.
