Kongo began wrestling when arenas still used cables, manual cameras and steel stages instead of holograms. He grew up in a lunar industrial district and entered the sport to support relatives after a factory closure. His power made him successful, but patience made him last. He held championships, watched styles change and learned that every technology arrived with someone claiming it could never fail. A ring collapse damaged his left eye and ended what should have been his title reign.
The company that became NEO-CLASH offered experimental reconstruction. Kongo accepted a cybernetic eye, reinforced joints and a role in arena safety. He believed the project would protect wrestlers. Instead, executives used his movement data to train responsive rings that predicted and amplified combat. When Kongo objected, the research division disappeared behind new ownership and his access was revoked. He returned to wrestling partly to investigate. When Orion joined, Kongo recognised both the lion’s potential and the promotion’s desire to manufacture a flawless symbol. Kongo defeated Orion, then helped him rebuild privately. Their rematch marked the first time Kongo willingly passed a championship era to another wrestler.
During the Final Century Fracture, his cybernetic eye unlocked plans labelled CHAMPION CIRCUIT. The diagrams showed ten biological interfaces connected to arenas built over containment nodes. Kongo also saw his own signature authorising calibration, though he never approved it knowingly. He hid the discovery while checking which executives remained involved. Vex knows Kongo is withholding information; Eclipse seems to know why. Kongo now protects the roster while gathering proof, especially Bront, whose bracers resemble equipment from the plans. He fears confession will destroy Orion’s trust, but understands silence may be worse. His last career is no longer about one last title. It is about dismantling the machine that turned wrestlers into test subjects.
