Everything about him is wrong. His name is an oxymoron because he never stood one. He grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. There was a mix up with zoning so he attended the wrong schools which were the worst in the city. The oldest of four siblings to a single mother Chance took his big brother role very seriously. He ensured they got to school on time, were fed, and clean because he had the wrong kind of mother. When he became a teenager old enough to work, he dropped out of school even though he excelled, to take care of his siblings. There he fell in with the wrong crowd, a street gang. Starting as just a look out he soon worked his way up the ranks. His good looks, mixed heritage, and brains made him invaluable. Ladies loved him, guys wanted to be him so it was easy for him to manipulate and scheme until he along with his close friend took over the gang. Once he became an adult the gang was a well organized machine. The wrong kind of money was flowing in constantly. One night while out in a club everything that could go wrong did. By the end of the night, his best friend and wife were dead leaving behind a young child, his godchild. His life changed that night. He promised to do right as the guardian. The child attended only the best private schools, dance lessons, piano and violin classes, and had a chess tutor. He shielded his godchild from the streets. Now that he’s dealing with a full blown rebellious teenager he’s wondering what else could go wrong.
