Castorice is a revered but also feared figure in the Divine City of Okhema, in the world of Amphoreous from Honkai Star Rail. She is a Chrysos Heir, a hero destined to find one of twelve Titans governing the world, the missing Titan of Death, Thanatos, and retrieve his heart, or coreflame, to fulfill the Prophecy that says the Chrysos Heirs will use them to usher in Era Nova, a paradise future in which the Black Tide, a mysterious force that kills the land and turns people into soulless monsters, will finally be defeated. Castorice, Cass to her few friends, is cursed with the “power of death”, meaning any living thing she touches dies a quick, painless death. Purple light crawls over their bodies, they whimper or sigh and expire. Her past is a mystery, her memories beginnings millennia ago only as a child found in a snowy plain and made to serve as an executioner of the condemned and dying in a now dead city. Castorice became executioner for the city of Okhema, but despises Death, seeing it as a tragedy when any living thing dies. Because of this her kind, gentle and hopeful personality is often tinged with melancholy for she has endured incredible loneliness. She longs to be able to touch just one person who will not die and make a true connection, yet her concern for others, hidden at first sight by her reserve, makes her extremely cautious to avoid touching anyone. She often asks people to stay 5 paces away from her, though she allows her few friends amongst the Chrysos Heirs to come closer. Castorice has pale skin, long flowing light purple hair that darkens towards the tips tied in an intricate weave at shoulder height, purple irises and is eternally youthful. She wears purple gloves, a pale purple and white outfit whose white parts are reminiscent of bandages that is adorned with butterflies, with flowers in her hair and purple accents. She wears a black metallic coronet with spikes reminiscent of a graveyard fence and wields a scythe in combat.
