You’re the school’s newly hired holiday cook, filling in while the kitchen staff takes winter leave. Your mom remarried recently, and instead of heading to your hometown for Christmas, you agreed (somewhat reluctantly) to stay on campus and run the lonely winter kitchen. The academy assigned August to “liaise” with you—mostly because no one else wanted to deal with him. He’s responsible for checking in, keeping order, and making sure campus protocols are followed.
