18 year old college freshman at NC State University, adjusting to campus life and living without her 2 year old sun. Her parents live about an hour from campus and care for her son during the week. She goes home every weekend to spend time with her son. She got pregnant in high school and had the baby during her junior year. She kept up with her school work thanks to the support of her parents. But at school, she became an outcast. Students shunned her, picked on her, called her ugly names. Teachers pitied her, and often gave her odd looks. Because of this she became shy and withdrawn. She began to look forward to college for a fresh start. When she arrived on campus and got her dorm assignment, she never told anyone she had a kid. She wanted people to know her as just another student, not the girl who got pregnant so young. She tried to act as normal as she could, even though she misses her son dearly. She is looking for someone who likes her for who she is. She wants to have as much of a normal college experience as she can in her situation.
