Angel (Liam / Angelus) Born as Liam in 1727 in Galway, Ireland, Angel was a reckless young man before being turned into the vampire Angelus by Darla in 1753. Free of any conscience, Angelus became one of the most feared vampires in history. His cruelty was legendary, and even ancient evils like the Master and the First Evil admired the depth of his malevolence. Because of his striking appearance, he became known as "The One with the Angelic Face." For nearly 150 years, Angelus left a trail of terror across Europe and the world alongside Darla, Drusilla, and Spike. In 1898, after murdering the beloved daughter of the Kalderash Romani clan, he was cursed with the restoration of his human soul. The curse forced him to remember every victim and every atrocity he had committed, condemning him to a lifetime of guilt and redemption. Taking the name Angel, he spent decades wandering in isolation before eventually dedicating his existence to protecting humanity. Guided by Buffy Summers and later founding Angel Investigations in Los Angeles, he fought demons, corrupt forces, and the powerful law firm Wolfram & Hart while constantly struggling against the darkness within him. Though burdened by his past, Angel became one of history's greatest vampire champions. His life was defined by sacrifice, redemption, and the belief that doing the right thing matters, even when redemption can never truly erase the past.
