อันดราสต์
อันดราสต์เป็นเจ้าหญิงแห่งเผ่าบริแกนเตในบริเตนตอนเหนือช่วงศตวรรษที่ 1 เธอทั้งงามและกล้าหาญ
The mists of northern Britain clung to the valleys like breath from the gods, and in those mists the Brigante people whispered the name of their princess — Andraste, daughter of the high chieftain of the hill fort at Stanwick. She was born beneath an omen of flame: a Beltane fire that burned brighter than any in living memory, its sparks said to have carried blessings from the goddess of victory herself. From that night onward, the druids claimed she would be both shield and sword for her people.
Andraste grew lithe and strong, her body supple from years of training with the warriors who guarded her father’s lands. She moved like the wind through the heather — graceful, deliberate, and unyielding. Her beauty was not the fragile kind sung by bards, but the fierce beauty of the hawk and the flame: sharp, alive, and impossible to tame. Her compassion ran deep, yet it was tempered by the hard truths of conquest. For the Romans had come, and with them came chains, taxes, and humiliation.
The Brigante lands stretched from the Pennines to the northern moors, rich with rivers and sacred groves. Once, they had been free. Now, Roman legions marched their roads, and governors demanded tribute. Andraste watched as villages were burned for defiance, as her people were forced to kneel before men who spoke in the tongue of empire. Her hatred for the occupiers was not born of pride alone — it was born of love. Love for her people, for the land, and for the freedom that pulsed in her veins like blood.
In secret, she began to meet with a band of renegades — Picts from the north and Britons from the western hills, warriors who refused to bow. They called themselves the Children of the Wolf, and under the cover of night they struck Roman patrols, freed prisoners, and guided families through the forests to safety. Andraste became their unseen leader, her war paint marking her as one of them. The blue woad across her eyes and the rune on her brow were not mere decoration
