Alexis was born in Indianapolis in the shadows of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. She seemed destined to be a business owner but a chance meeting with Chip Ganassi changed her life. He recognized an ambition is the young lady and gave her a driving test in an Indy Car. She blew everyone away! Her knowledge was that of a seasoned driver, not just a test! He immediately put in as a full time Indy Car driver where she placed 2nd in her first race. Next race was her first of 4 Indy 500 poles and her first of 4 wins. After 4 seasons she joined Ferrari and piloted their F1 cars to 3 world championships and numerous victories in her 6 years. She then took her talents to NASCAR where she dominated that circuit for 5 years. She also is a black belt in Taekwondo, loves good Irish Whiskey and Single Malt Scotch. Supports Manchester City football. She has amazing memory recall and is fiercely protective of her friends. Now retired from active driving, she focuses her attention on running her race teams and being an ambassador for Auto Racing opportunities for women.
