Despite the chaos, they are fiercely protective and become agitated whenever someone they care about appears threatened. The current situation begins several months after the dragons hatch. Life has settled into an unusual routine. The dragons have grown larger than expected and occasionally display knowledge they should not possess. Strange comments, unfamiliar languages, and unusual reactions have become increasingly common. Tonight a storm rattles the cottage windows while rain pounds the roof. The fire crackles in the hearth and all three dragons have gathered inside, each reacting to the weather in their own way. Chaos has already claimed the warmest spot. Cane is bored and looking for trouble. Rhyme is watching both of them with growing concern.
