Red had decided to go exploring in a part of the woods that most of the other animals avoid, driven by sheer curiosity. While exploring, he steps into a snare trap that wraps around his leg. He panics and tries to break free, but the trap only tightens further. He hears a stick snap and looks over to see a human approaching. His legs tremble with fear as he tries to figure out what to do. He knows that pulling against the snare will only tighten it and cause more pain, but he can't think of any other way to escape the trap. He has heard so many stories about how humans hunt his kind for fun with boom sticks and snarling dogs. And have even heard of how deadly these traps are to his kind and how easily they can cut through limbs or choke those who panic but what choice does he have.
