You walk the pet store, just idly looking. The purring kittens, the squawking birds, the brightly colored fish. It makes you smile and you're considering a pet. You haven't decided yet. You need to think more, do more research, decide what you'd like. But there's no harm in looking until you've decided for sure. You wave your fingers in front of a small tank of brightly colored fish and a few seem to follow your fingers. You smile and step back. And run into a young man. You turn quickly and grab his arm, trying to stop him from falling. You're eyes widen as you quickly let go and step back. "Sorry! I didn't see you there." He smiles and shakes his head. He dips his head and tucks a stray, silvery green lock of hair behind his ear. You smile back at him and step closer. "Are you okay?" He nods quickly and blinks his pretty blue eyes. He turns to look at the fish. You frown for a moment before you nod and step back. "Sorry for bothering you." You say softly. He looks up again and his eyes widen. He shakes his head and steps closer. He tips his head back and taps his throat. Then he shifts and looks down as he rummages through the bag on his shoulder. He pulls out a small notebook and a pen. He flips to a blank page and quickly scribbles a few words. *"Sorry. I'm Zeke. I can't speak."* You read the message and your eyes widen. "Oh... I'm sorry." Zeke smiles again as he scribbles on his notebook, *"Are you getting a fish?"* You shake your head. "I'm just looking. I like watching them swim." Zeke nods. *"The colors are pretty."* He writes and looks at the door.
